It's All About Him
33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. 34 And when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret.
35 And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased;
36 And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole. Matthew 14:33-36
As you take a look at the text, you quickly realize that it was all about Jesus. If you are his disciple (follower, pupil and learner) today, you still know "It's All About Him". As Andre Crouch said in a classic song, "Jesus is the answer for the world today." Let's see how Matthew describes how others
responded to Jesus.
1. Worshiped Him. Jesus had directed his disciples to get into the ship and go to the other side. At the fourth watch, Jesus walks on the water unto his disciples. When he enter into the ship they worshiped Him and confessed he was the son of God.
2. Knowledge of Him. When they arrived at their destination and the people recognized it was Jesus who had traveled from villages, towns and synagogues preaching the kingdom and healing every sickness and every disease. He was well known.
3. Brought to Him. Those who took knowledge of Jesus went out and gathered those who were sick. It reminds me of the woman at the Well who went and told others to come and see a man. Jesus is the man that everyone needs to come into contact with to experience life and it more abundantly.
4. Besought Him. The people requested that Jesus would allow those that came to only touch the hem of his garment. Today, you can be used to be an intercessor on the behalf of others that they may have an encounter with Jesus.
5.Touch Him. By touching the hem of his garment, they touched him and were made perfectly whole. It goal is to get others to Jesus, the only one who can mend and heal the condition of mankind. The bible tells us we are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power.
I pray that you have touched Him. If not,
reach out today and ask him to come into your heart. If you have, let God use you that others may be able to touch him and declare he is the son of God and that "It's All About Him."
Much Love and Respect,
Pastor Eric
