BELIEVE

22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.  23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed , and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass ; he shall have whatsoever he saith.  Mark 11:22-23

Peter was amazed to find the fig tree Jesus had cursed the day prior now dried up at its roots and withered away. Immediately, Jesus seizes the opportunity to tell Peter and the rest of His disciples to have faith in God. Jesus was helping them to locate their faith for He would be crucified in a few day.  As I have taught many years, our faith must be in someone - the Person of our Faith.  If our faith is to be in God, it will also be in His son, Jesus.  Jesus said "the Father and I are one" and the only way to the Father was through Him.

Jesus also begins to teach them about the Principle of Faith.  The mountain He is speaking about is the same mountain that you may be struggling with - DOUBT.  Doubt is the root of unbelief.  DOUBT will keep you out of the promises of God for your life.  You must learn to keep the doubt out so that you can talk and walk like God.  He created us uniquely from all other creation. He has given you an imagination and the ability to talk like Him. I have come to learn that when I begin to think and talk like the world I have moved away from my FAITH or BELIEF in God.  Jesus wants us to know in whom we believe.  Your Faith will be strengthen when you spend time with the object of your faith.  Jesus always leads us to the Father.

On tomorrow you and all Christians will celebrate the resurrection of our Savior, Lord, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, one Jesus. Your Christian faith is built upon your personal belief that Jesus came, lived a sinless life, died for your sins and rose again.  It is through His obedience that we now have access to the one that created and made us - God the Father. I encourage you to open up the scriptures and read the accounts of his miraculous resurrection.

We are living in a time when it's wrong to be right and right to be wrong.  What and who you believe in is being challenged.
You must know in whom you believe in.  Whose report are you going to believe?  I encourage you to chose the report of the Lord.  The bible comprises of the words that we live by.  I leave you with the words of Pastor Darlene Bishop of Solid Rock Church who gives us an inspired definition of  B.E.L.I.E.V.E.  Because Emanuel Lives I Expect Victory Everytime.

As you celebrate "Resurrection Sunday", I pray that your FAITH in God is renewed and strengthen and all doubt is removed and cast into the sea that you may begin to declare words to live by and enter into the promises of God for your life.

Love, Peace and Blessing,
Pastor Eric
